Hello Neighbors,
November is here in full color — and Lamorinda is alive with community spirit. This week brings Light Up Orinda on Thursday, the Lamorinda Atelier Grand Opening Reception on Friday, and cozy fall markets all weekend. In Lafayette, the city is moving forward with plans for a safer School St. & Topper Ln. path, and Thanksgiving pre-orders are open at both Tutu’s Food & Drink and Town Bakery & Cafe. As evenings grow darker, let’s drive mindfully and keep that neighborly pace that makes our towns feel like home.
Tuesday is Veterans Day — schools are closed in observance. Take a moment to honor those who served and enjoy the extra family time.

📰 Digest
Help Support the School St. & Topper Ln. Protected Path (Lafayette) — The City of Lafayette plans to create a wider, protected path so people of all ages can safely walk and bike to school and, in the future, to downtown. To show your support, please email [email protected] stating your support for the path as designed. You can also join the upcoming City Council meeting via Zoom or in person at the Lafayette Library & Learning Center (Don Tatzin Community Hall). Stay updated on this project and other efforts to make Lafayette more accessible and family-friendly at vibrantlafayette.org.
Youth e-bikes & electric motorcycles: Safety concerns rise in Lafayette — Following a recent incident in which a youth fled police on an electric motorcycle, the Lafayette Police Department released guidance distinguishing legal e-bikes from unregistered motorbikes. Parents are urged to review safety laws and supervise young riders.
Thanksgiving pre-orders now open at local favorites — Skip the rush and support local restaurants:
Tutu’s Food & Drinks (Lafayette) – Complete holiday meals, turkey, pies & sides.
Town Bakery & Cafe (Moraga) – Strudels, pies & cheesecakes.
