Hi {{ first_name | neighbor }},

Lafayette Art & Wine Festival fills both Saturday and Sunday with art, food, wine, and free live music. I’d leave room for a little wandering and a few conversations between the booths. Start the weekend early with Tom and The Broken Hearts and Taste of the World food trucks at Thursday Nights in Orinda.

The Child Day Schools: Early Learning in Moraga

The Child Day Schools is tucked into the Rheem Shopping Center, with a tree-shaded playground designed for children of different ages to learn and play outdoors. The school serves toddlers through transitional kindergarten, with programs for children from 12 months through age five.

My own kids went here, so it feels especially good to feature a school that has been part of so many local families’ early years. The campus was named Moraga Business of the Year by the Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors in April 2024.

Hours: 7 a.m.–5:30 p.m. Full-day, school-day, morning, and part-time options are available.

HOME OF THE WEEK

945 Stow Lane, Lafayette - $2,199,999

Set back from the road on approximately 0.81 acres, this storybook Tudor is framed by grapevines, towering redwoods, and mature crape myrtle trees. Inside, French doors open from the sunny living room to a deck, while the eat-in kitchen brings English-cottage-meets-country-pub charm with dark hardwood floors, a shiplap ceiling, and a built-in window seat.

The home includes three bedrooms, a den or office with fourth-bedroom potential, flexible space off the family room, and a four-car garage. Outside, the mature vineyard, pomegranate tree, and mostly level backyard offer room for gardens, entertaining, or recreation, with the Lafayette/Moraga Regional Trail nearby.
